You know how it goes x.x.0 versions are released and the first people that download are basically beta testers. You wait a few weeks and all the bugs start pouring in and you endup with a stable version you can actually use.

This latest release is a security update from bugs found in 2.8.1 and it is highly recommended that you upgrade if you are using that version or 2.8.2 .

This should be a relatively stable release and automatic updates should not break your site or theme.

We did find that sidebars may get broken if you are updating from an earlier version and may require modification of your css to restyle new widget selector names.

Other then that not a lot has changed in the 2.8.x version that is visible to most users.
