Wow anyone wondering if Verizon customers would buy the new iPhone can put any worries aside it seems that within the first day of pre sales to current customers Verizon had to put a halt on sales.

Sales were halted at 8pm eastern or 5 pm pacific and only two hours after the iPhone 4 went on sale it already passed the record for most phones sold on a launch day.

Dan Mead, president and CEO of Verizon Wireless said. “Yesterday’s launch set the pace for next week when we open up sales to everyone Across America,” The iPhone 4 will be available to the general public on February 10 beginning at 10am.
