The internet authority ICANN just approved the purchase of short .tel domain names just approved the sale of Numeric only 1.23.456. and short url three or less letter domain names.  Why is this news? who knows but when you look at how the domains are constructed  you have to wonder who is going to be able to register domains with the last 4 numbers of everyone’s phone numbers and then control all the subdomains or area codes …

and if you were wondering all the good short names like can.tel are already taken
